Update, Spring 2011

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation announced a Proposed Remedial Action Plan (PRAP) for the Site at the end of February, 2011, with a Public Meeting to discuss the PRAP on March 10. A copy of the PRAP can be found in the Major Reports section of this website. The Fact Sheet announcing the meeting and summarizing the PRAP may be found by clicking here.

The NYSDEC accepted comments about the Plan from the public until March 25. After evaluating the comments, the NYSDEC issued a Responsiveness Summary, with its responses to each of the comments received. Later, the NYSDEC issued a Record of Decision, detailing the final Remedial Action Plan, at which time National Grid and its consultants began the process of designing how the Remedial Action Plan will be implemented.
