
Update June 2012
Beginning the first week of June 2012, National Grid will begin a utility clearance project in the northwest corner of the rear portion of the site. This is an excavation in advance of the ISS (In-Situ Solidification) phase of work. The utility clearance needs to be completed in order to temporarily relocate LIPA's OH distribution to the west side of the property. Should take approx 4-6 weeks to complete,
Document Updates – Winter 2012
Two document packages have been added to the Key Documents/Major Reports section of the website:

Update, Spring 2011
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation announced a Proposed Remedial Action Plan (PRAP) for the Site at the end of February, 2011, with a Public Meeting to discuss the PRAP on March 10. The NYSDEC accepted comments about the Plan from the public until March 25. After evaluating the comments, the NYSDEC issued a Responsiveness Summary, with its responses to each of the comments received. Later, the NYSDEC issued a Record of Decision, detailing the final Remedial Action Plan, at which time National Grid and its consultants began the process of designing how the Remedial Action Plan will be implemented.
