Weekly Update, Week Ending June 7, 2019

Posillico Environmental, Inc (Posillico), National Grid's Remediation Contractor, mobilized to the Site to begin readying for the implementation of the remedy selected for the Site. Posillico prepared the Site by clearing vegetation, establishing parking areas, and setting up traffic controls on and adjacent to the Site. Soil erosion and sediment control measures were installed. Posillico setup the electrical service for the five Community Air Monitoring Program (CAMP) stations to be used during remedy implementation to monitor for the presence of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and particulates at the Site's property line. National Grid has retained the services of AECOM to perform the CAMP program. After the stations were energized and calibrated, AECOM conducted five (5) days of CAMP monitoring to establish the baseline for which the results will be compared to during construction. Additional work activities included the markout of utilities, surveying to establish baseline conditions, and the placement of signs around the Site to delineate construction zones.
Two-Week Outlook
Posillico will complete mobilization and site preparation including installation of decontamination pads, decommissioning of existing monitoring wells within the remedial area, collection of waste characterization samples, mobilization and setup of in-situ solidification (ISS) mixing equipment.
General hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
