
Weekly Update, Week Ending June 14, 2019

Posillico Environmental, Inc (Posillico), National Grid’s Remediation Contractor, continued readying for the implementation of the remedy selected for the Site. Posillico completed installing the soil erosion and sediment control measures. Five Community Air Monitoring Program (CAMP) stations are operating 24/7 to monitor for the presence of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and particulates at the Site’s property line. Additional work activities included soft digging to locate underground utilities, decommissioning of existing monitoring wells, placement of crushed stone at the construction entrance and driveway, and delivery of holding tanks to store water.
Two-Week Outlook
Posillico will complete site preparation including the construction of the truck decontamination pad, collection of waste characterization samples, mobilization and setup of in-situ solidification (ISS) mixing equipment. Posillico will start the pilot-scale test of the ISS remedy.
