Weekly Update, Week Ending August 9, 2019

Posillico Environmental, Inc (Posillico), National Grid’s Remediation Contractor de-mobilized the ISS-mixing excavator to perform maintenance and equipment modifications. Clean sand was delivered and will be used as backfill when relocating an existing buried electrical line. Soil erosion and sediment control measures were inspected and maintained. Five Community Air Monitoring Program (CAMP) stations were operated 24 hours a day to monitor for the presence of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and particulates at the Site’s property line.
Two-Week Outlook
Posillico will relocate the building’s electric line so that it not within the remedial area. Posillico will load and transport stockpiled excavated soils for off-site disposal at the approved permitted facility. Posillico will continue preparations for the full scale ISS activities including mobilizing a new grout silo and re-mobilizing the mixing excavator. There will be limited construction activities next week while results of the ISS pilot-scale are being evaluated.
General hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
