Weekly Update, Week Ending October 4, 2019

Posillico Environmental, Inc (Posillico), National Grid’s Remediation Contractor continued the full-scale ISS implementation. The ISS swell material and excavated soils were transported off-site to the approved disposal facility. Confirmation sampling of the ISS-treated material is being conducted. Posillico began the 4-foot excavation to install the approved Site Covers.

Soil erosion and sediment control measures were inspected and maintained. Five Community Air Monitoring Program (CAMP) stations were operated 24 hours a day to monitor for the presence of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and particulates at the Site’s property line.

Two-Week Outlook

Posillico will complete the full-scale ISS activities and continue transporting waste materials off-site to the approved disposal facility. Posillico will continue the 4-foot excavation and begin the 2-foot excavation to install the approved Site Covers.

General hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
