Weekly Update, Week Ending July 10, 2020

Posillico Environmental, Inc (Posillico), completed the remedy implementation on both the on-site and off-site properties. The activities completed this week included installation of the asphalt pavement cover, construction of the post-remediation stormwater management system, and installation of the perimeter fence. Crack monitoring gauges were removed, and some construction equipment was demobilized.

Two-Week Outlook

A final site meeting with the Posillico and the National Grid Project Team will be scheduled to review the punch list of remaining tasks and inspect the final site conditions. Posillico will then demobilize the remaining construction equipment, tools, and materials.

Brown and Caldwell Associates, National Grid’s Project Engineer, will prepare the final documentation for the Site which includes the Final Engineering Report, Site Management Plan, and the Operations, Maintenance and Monitoring Plan. These documents will be submitted to NYSDEC for their approval. An Environmental Easement will also be established for the Site and the Off-Site Property, as required by the NYSDEC.

General hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
